West End Play Reviews- Blood Brothers

I went with 3 girlfriends to try to get last minute tickets for War Horse and there were only 2… so we decided to go see Blood Brothers.

You cannot take photos inside, but I thought the staircase was beautiful…

Most of us did not know much about it, just that it gets great . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews- Blood Brothers

West End Theatre Reviews- The Mousetrap

We went to see the Agatha Christie show The Mousetrap at the St. Martin’s Theatre.

Michelle is hiding her ice cream out of the photo…thus the "look"

The pre-show shot of the interior

This show has been running so long that it earned a Blue Plaque!

West End Play Reviews- The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

Michelle and I went to see The Umbrellas of Cherbourg when Barry had to be in the US. Here is a photo of the gorgeous Gielgud Theatre, which is quite small.

As you can see we had decent seats. About 9 rows back!

As far a recommending this play I give it mixed reviews. . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews- The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

West End Play Reviews: The End of the Rainbow

I went to a matinee of The End of the Rainbow today at Trafalgar Studios. It is the story of the last part of Judy Garland’s life, complete with some of her classic songs.

I have to say that I have never been much of a Judy Garland fan, and her style of singing is . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews: The End of the Rainbow

I sat in Row D about 4 off center for 29.50 GBP! Not bad at all. There were people from St John’s Wood all over the theater. . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews: Deathtrap

West End Theatre Reviews- Oliver!

As part of my Groupon package I got 2nd row seats to Oliver! It was a weeknight, so Michelle and I went…

One of the prettiest safety screens ever! Sometimes they just say "safety screen" 🙂

Can any show be bad from 2nd row center? I am thinking not, but I am sure there could . . . → Read More: West End Theatre Reviews- Oliver!

West End Play Reviews… The 39 Steps

The 39 Steps West End Marquee

In my opinion, the optimal way to see “The 39 Steps” in the theater is after reviewing Alfred Hitchcock’s 39 Steps movie. With the movie as reference, there are many aspects of the production that are clever and creative. Without spoiling anything, examples would be the way the . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews… The 39 Steps

West End Play Reviews… The 39 Steps… The Pre-Show

Last night I went to see “The 39 Steps” in the West End, and I do not know whether I was more entertained by the show or the audience. I had to go alone because both Barry and Michelle were unable at the last minute, and it was really too late to find someone else. . . . → Read More: West End Play Reviews… The 39 Steps… The Pre-Show

The West End Rocks On!

Barry has Elizabeth and Michelle there less than a day and he already takes them to see “We Will Rock You”. Does it seem like he has been starving for someone to be there to go to the theater with?

When I was there for his birthday we went to see “Jersey Boys”, and it . . . → Read More: The West End Rocks On!
